Things to Do

 

Lewes Lights is a festive holiday event when homeowners in Lewes decorate their homes for the holiday season. Junction & Breakwater Trailhead is a popular hiking trail among residents. The trail meanders through Cape Henlopen State Park and into Rehoboth Beach. The  Midway Par 3 Golf Course has 18-holes of golf and is available to novice and expert golfers. Lewes also offers excellent swimming, sailing, and fishing.

 

Lewes is a great town for history buffs and is the home of the Zwaanendael Museum, which features exhibits about Delaware's rich and complex history. Fisherman's Wharf is a dock that stretches along the Lewes and Rehoboth Canal and features multiple restaurants and bait shops, and in season the dock hosts boats from all over.

 

The Historic Lewes Farmer’s Market is a must-see destination and runs Saturdays from May through September. The market has a festive atmosphere and is a great place to buy locally grown food, baked goods, and items made by local artisans.
